I Want To Remind You That It’s Ok To Not Be Ok Sometimes

I bet it varies how you feel each morning when it’s time to get up. Besides the quality of your sleep what lies ahead of you for the day will have a big impact on how you feel as will what’s going on in your life good or bad. Some days you’ll be feeling energized and raring to tackle the day but I want to remind you that it’s ok to not be ok sometimes. While life can be so fulfilling, exhilarating, energising and fun it can also at times suck the life out of you. There will always be challenges and obstacles. That’s inevitable part of life’s journey. Also there can be unexpected traumas or emotionally draining situations that you may or may not have the mindset to deal with. What matters in life is that each day you give it your best and sometimes that may mean just getting out of bed and achieving a few little wins. Society has created this narrative that you’ve got to keep pushing on no matter what. That you should feel great all the time and if you don’t something is wrong with you. This is bullshit and not reality. There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re just finding that particular phase of life hard. You’re human not a robot. At such times when there’s no oomph be kind to yourself. Take the foot off the pedal or ease it if needed. Break from societal conditioning and focus on your needs in any given day. It’s ok to not be ok sometimes. Your best in any given moment is all you can expect of yourself.
